Blessed

I'm SO inspired by the creativity of my favorite bloggers, and I've been wanting to do it simply because it looks like SO much fun and is such a creative challenge. I'm sure, okay positive, this canvas is going to be filled with pictures and adventures of my wild, crazy, sweet lil man Hudson Joseph, and of course a compilation of thoughts and things that make my "average" life a little bit more wonderful.

Hopefully, in the next couple weeks I will be able to figure out how to beautify this blog. I'm thinking a mixture of chevron, mint, mustard, and a couple cute pictures of my boys, which won't be hard to find.

I have decided that I need to "clean-house" of all the negative people in my life and start this blog instead of posting on Facebook. Facebook can be a great tool for keeping up with folks who are important to you, but it seems to have moved away from that. My newsfeed is constantly filled with negativity and I let it get to me. I don't want a Facebook update to annoy me or ruin my day anymore. Positivity, hope and happiness is my new way of life. Life is just too short.

I tend to be insecure sometimes. I suppose I need to let go more often, but it's difficult for me. I am hoping this blog helps me "release" some of my insecurities. I also think the older I get and the more responsibilities I get (wife, mom, etc..) the more insecure I get. I need to let some of these go.  Here we go..

AM that mom that hates being away from her kid, even for an hour.

I am NOT that mom that cooks amazing meals, in fact Hudson eats microwaved hot dogs and bologna for a lot of meals.

AM that girl that gets hurt easily.

I AM that mom that has done co.sleeping and NOT letting your babies cry it out.

I am NOT that mom that is crazy about schedules or doing everything by the book.

AM that wife that chooses her husband through it all.

I am NOT that wife/mama that does everything right.

I'm just me.  A first time wife and a first time mom. I'm learning every single day.

Uff ta! That felt good.

Before I forget, I ordered these 3 shirts for Hud today! Gearing up for a spring/summer wardrobe for him. It's so much fun!

(Shirt 1: Target, Shirt 2: Tiny Whales, Shirt 3: Zara)
I'm hoping to find some colored jeans/shorts for him too. We might need to go shopping tomorrow while Joe is at work. :)

Below is a link to a video I found that a dad made for his son who was in the NICU. I bawled. I've really been thinking about our NICU experience a lot lately and I just feel so grateful when I see my crazy 19.5 month old running around the house at night. I couldn't be any more blessed.

NICU Journey

He's come so far. I am blessed.
